The Paths Music and Lyrics by Timothy S. Klugh. Copyright © 1990 Timothy S. Klugh. All Rights Reserved.
Sometimes, I hate my ways And wonder where I had gone astray. That's when I look back in yesterday, As if to say without delay That somewhere in my past I failed me. Somewhere in my past, so easily-- Somewhere in my past, I simply did not see the error in my ways.
Induced by my own spell, I reminisce as if to tell The proof that somewhere I had missed a sign. Deep in my mind, I left behind The choice in life that might have saved me Leaving me so full and happy. Yet, it was ignored in my past. Somewhere in my life, I was so blind.
When I chose from the paths That has made my history, I may tend to forget That these choices have made me.
Moments I've spent indulged In finding where I had gone wrong Are using up the time I have today To change my ways for future days. I keep on searching in obsession Choosing with my best discretion. Using up the precious time in haste, I keep on searching yesterday.
When I chose from the paths That has made my history, I may tend to forget That these choices have made me.
When I look in the past, It's impossible to see That it's my present cause That has built my own folly.
You know it's true.
When I look in the past, It's impossible to see That it's my present cause That has built my own folly.
